Faith Fight Finish Foundation Gala

We are so excited to announce that the Inaugural Faith Fight Finish Foundation Gala was a huge success! We are beyond grateful for all of the support received that allows us to continue our mission of investing in the future of our youth by empowering individuals, families, and communities to find strength through adversity. An important focus for the foundation is fighting cancer and offering assistance to those facing life-challenging hardships. During the event, we had the opportunity to hear from some of our beneficiaries as they shared the ways in which the foundation has impacted their lives.

Special guest, Dr. Karin Pelka, spoke about the progress she is making through the Stand Up to Cancer Peggy Prescott Award in Colorectal Cancer Research. In March, we awarded our first grant of $50,000 in research funding and over the next two years, Dr. Pelka will continue to conduct research in the area of immunotherapy, and is expected to go on to produce cutting-edge and innovative science for decades to come.

Artist, Kendrell Daniels, gave a wonderful speech about Dak’s impact on his life. His special painting, The Star, went for $20,000 in our live auction! The Faith Fight Finish foundation has been helping to support his dream of  becoming an artist through the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability and we look forward to helping even more artists like Kendrell.

High School Student, JoNeshia, spoke about her experience in the just keep livin After School Fitness and Wellness program at David W. Carter High School. The Faith Fight Finish Foundation is honored to sponsor such an incredible program that makes a huge impact on the lives of the students they serve by providing them with the tools to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

The night consisted of a VIP Reception with a special performance by Chris Young, dinner and show by The Band Perry, followed by an after party with DJ Silver. We want to thank all of our supporters and sponsors for their contributions and for helping us continue our efforts. We look forward to next year’s event!
